The MICRO COAT range is more than just an ordinary varnish range. It is first and foremost a resistant protection thanks to a revolutionary new formula of acrylic varnish. It is also the ideal solution for models that require many manipulations. Indeed, MICRO COAT SATIN (satin), MICRO COAT FLAT (matte) and MICRO COAT GLOSS (gloss) keep forever their original appearance.
But of course, the main reason for using the MICRO COAT range is that it is the ideal way to give your decals the most realistic look. Indeed, the protective film of the decals is better masked by this range of varnishes. THE MICRO COAT GLOSS (gloss) is the ideal way to obtain a working basis for the application of decals. All varnishes in the MICRO COAT range use the same acrylic resin base. It is transparent, resistant, flexible and adheres securely to color and plastic. In addition, MICRO COAT varnishes do not turn yellow at all. It is a range that can protect your models for at least 20 years under normal conditions. You can mix the different models of MICRO COAT to get an intermediate result. Finally, they are "elongable" to water. Be careful, it takes very little water to dilute these varnishes! ! ! Another precaution: if your water is not perfectly pure, you must use distilled water to keep an optimal transparency. If your water contains iron or other metals, you will get a varnish that turns yellow, if it contains copper, the varnish will turn green. For cleaning (before a complete drying), a few drops of detergent in hot water will do the trick perfectly. The range has been developed so that it can be directly applied to the airbrush. To clean your airbrush perfectly, you can simply spray water right after applying the varnish.
It is important to use high pressure for vaporization. Indeed, this gives a softer appearance and the varnish dries faster. If you want to apply the varnish with a brush, the whole dilution procedure remains the same. It is then necessary, as for normal colors, avoid "brushstrokes" by painting only in ONE DIRECTION and pressing gently.
