The Servonaut MQ10 ESC is a development of the Servonaut MF8 ESC, providing a higher current rating (10A instead of 8A for the MF8) and allowing control by a switch connected directly, without the use of the radio remote control. This makes it possible to use the switch to manually control the lifting of a skip or the operation of landing gear when the radio remote control is not in use.
The Servonaut MQ10 ESC is a small ESC for controlling auxiliary motors up to 10A (e.g. RB35 gearmotors). For more realistic operation and to limit mechanical stress, acceleration and braking are progressive. The electromagnetic brake is at its maximum when the control is in neutral.
For propulsion control of small models, we recommend using the ESC S10, which, unlike the MQ10, is equipped with outputs for brake and reversing lights, as well as a start-up safety feature (no motor start-up if the control is not in neutral when powered up).
The MQ10 switches from forward to reverse without delay: in neutral, the motor is braked to maximum.
To slow down the model gently, gently return the stick to neutral.
If a 3-position impulse switch is connected to the ESC MQ10 on the dedicated terminals, it is possible to control the motor via this switch without using the radio control.
